Tricia R. Thompson, PHR, is a human resources professional with over 30 years of leadership, management and consulting experience within a variety of industries. She is currently the Human Resources and General Affairs Manager for a local chemical plant in LaPlace, Louisiana and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). During her career, Thompson has gained real world, practical leadership, management and human resource experience that she now applies to the issues faced by managers and business owners.

Thompson is passionate about giving back to her community and has served in leadership roles with local community service and non-profit organizations for over 20 years. She is actively involved in the St. John the Baptist Parish and surrounding areas as the Corporate Social Responsibility for her organization.

Thompson is currently the Board Chair for the River Parishes Workforce Development Board Area 14, Board Member for the St. John United Way, and Board Member and Foundation Committee Co-Chair for the River Region Chamber of Commerce.

Thompson held the role as Vice President in 2011 in the Greater Baton Rouge SHRM Chapter. She also held leadership positions of Treasurer (2011); President-Elect (2012); President (2013); and Past President (2014) for the Baton Rouge ATD Chapter. Prior to these roles, she was a member of the Central Florida Human Resource Association (CFHRA) where she was an active member of the Board of Directors since 2001. During her time on the board, she held multiple leadership positions to include President-Elect and President in 2009-2010. She also served within the HR Florida State Council.

Thompson is an Alumni of Leadership River Region Class of 2020 and is currently a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Association for Talent Development (ATD), and WordatWork.
