Stacey Gautreau
Public Affairs, Director of U.S. South
The Dow Chemical Company
As the Public Affairs Director for the U.S. South region at Dow, I oversee the public affairs strategy and execution of one of the world's leading materials science and innovation companies. With over 25 years of experience in public affairs, workforce development, and community benefit planning, I have developed a strong reputation for managing complex and high-stakes issues and crises, delivering impactful philanthropic and community engagement programs, and building trust and collaboration with diverse stakeholders across various sectors and industries.
In my current role, I lead a team of public affairs professionals who are responsible for enhancing Dow's familiarity and favorability in the Gulf Coast, where 44% of the company's global assets are located. I am passionate about advancing Dow's Decarbonization & Grow strategy, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase energy efficiency, and drive circular economy solutions. I am also committed to addressing the social and environmental challenges that affect our communities, such as disaster resiliency, sustainable housing, and workforce development. Some of my notable achievements include partnering with Capital Area United Way and other organizations to improve disaster response, serving as regional community benefit planning lead for Dow’s recently awarded Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy demonstration grant, and putting together public-private partnerships that address Justice40 gaps in disadvantage communities. I am honored to have received the Influential Women in Business, the Chamber’s Volunteer of the Year, and Top 40 under 40 awards for my leadership and contribution to the community.
