Shanna Hudson-Stowe
Development Associate
Shanna is responsible for the vision, strategy and national fundraising efforts for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. She has been with the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation since 2004 raising money for its various projects including its 2012 Capital Campaign Moving Heritage Forward for the George & Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center that was opened in 2015. Ms. Stowe writes grants and engages with donors in her capacity for the Jazz & Heritage Foundation, and has seen the reach of the organization increase many times over.
In addition to working at the Jazz & Heritage Foundation, Shanna is the President of Save Our Cemeteries. She has curated exhibits and volunteered her time on various projects across the city.
Shanna is a native of Texas, and as an Air Force brat, has lived in many states in her lifetime. She has lived in New Orleans since 2003. Ms Stowe has a MA in Arts Administration from the University of New Orleans, and a BA from Stephens College in Columbia Missouri. Prior to fundraising Shanna has over 20 years of work experience in commodity purchasing, wholesale merchandising, general administration and has worked in the industries of Natural Foods and Construction.
