VP Business Banking

Hancock Whitney

I am a current resident of Belle Chasse raised on the Westbank of New Orleans. I have been married to Jeanine Hopkins for 22 years and we have four children together, Luke, Marguerite, Gabriel and Amelia.

For the past thirteen years, I have worked as a banker for Hancock Whitney. For the past 5 years, I have been the primary business banker for the Westbank of New Orleans.

I am a strong believer in giving back, volunteering and serving the community. This includes, but is not limited to:

-Director and board member for the Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival

-Volunteer Coach and former board member for the YMCA

-Auxiliary Deputy

-member of GNO INC Nextgen Council

-Board member and President (2014) for PABI

-Board member and President (2020/2021) for WBIA

-Board Member for Algiers Economic Development Foundation

-Event board member for Plaquemines Community CARE Centers

-member of St. Andrews Church

-financial literacy volunteer

I am working through WBIA to create a Westbank task force to work together for infrastructure projects, identifying green field opportunities and luring projects to the Westbank.

Currently, I am also working with Foster Creppel, Ama Rogan, A Studio in the Woods, and the Bywater Institute to create a capstone program for Tulane University. The program will study sustainable wetlands use to create a conservation that will be developed to be a wildlife sanctuary, sustainable aquaculture and fisheries, farm, and economic development engine for SE Louisiana.
