Passionate about my adopted home and dedicated to its growth and prosperity, I am thrilled to serve as the Director of Development for the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce. Originally hailing from Fort Payne, Alabama, a town renowned for its connection to the country music group, ALABAMA, my journey to New Orleans has been marked by a deep appreciation for community engagement and a drive to make a difference.

During my high school years, I found employment as a front desk associate at the local Holiday Inn Express. Little did I know that this opportunity would shape my future career path. Through hard work and determination, I quickly rose to the position of Director of Sales at the age of 18. It was here that I discovered my passion for building relationships and driving results, setting the stage for the professional I would become. It was during this time that I began immersing myself in my local community, serving as a board member and volunteer for various organizations, including the Chamber, Tourism Association, Arts Council, Landmarks Association, and numerous events. These engagements further deepened my commitment to community development and instilled in me a sense of responsibility to give back.

In 2016, I had the privilege of graduating from the Leadership DeKalb program, an experience that provided me with unparalleled insight into the workings of local government and the county’s top economic drivers. This program not only expanded my knowledge base but also afforded me invaluable connections that remain strong to this day.

Motivated by a deep love for New Orleans and the incredible people who call it home, my husband and I made the life-changing decision to relocate here. Over the past seven years, we have had the privilege of embracing the city's unique opportunities and forming meaningful connections. In this time, we have become active leaders in the Greater New Orleans Region, harnessing our skills and experiences to contribute to its growth and success.

As the Director of Development for the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, I am wholeheartedly committed to promoting the economic vitality of our city. Through strategic partnerships, innovative initiatives, and fostering collaboration, I aim to cultivate an environment that supports local businesses and empowers our diverse community.

In my pursuit of excellence, I am eager to embark on the NORLI journey. This esteemed program will undoubtedly deepen my understanding of our region's challenges and opportunities, while connecting me with like-minded individuals. In my current role at the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, participation in NORLI will undoubtedly fast-track connections for me across the region to better serve our 1,200 member businesses. As I continue my own professional growth here in New Orleans, what most excites me is how this education will serve my future endeavors in leadership, whether here at the Chamber or elsewhere in the region.
