Teresa Kenny

Teresa Kenny is a dedicated entrepreneur with decades of experience in finance, human resources & organizational development working for startups, nonprofits, and government agencies. A native of California, she is a graduate of UC Davis, where she received a degree in Genetics. During her time there, she served as the General Manager of the college radio station, KDVS 90.3 in Davis, CA. Shortly after, she decided to explore other opportunities in accounting and finance. Before starting her own business, Teresa worked for Dropbox, Inc., a high growth technology startup in San Francisco, and scaled office operations for over 100 people. After moving to New Orleans in 2012, she founded OfficeOps, a bookkeeping and human resources administration and consulting firm, now working with over 40 small businesses and nonprofits throughout the New Orleans area to keep them compliant and efficient. A long-standing love for the political landscape, Teresa engages in various political organizations and causes in the community and surrounding areas. She currently serves as the Treasurer of the Plessy and Ferguson Foundation, preserving the history of the Plessy V Ferguson case, and placing historical markers at significant civil rights sites. She also serves as an Elections Commissioner in her home precinct, maintaining the sanctity of local elections. She is currently a member of the Independent Women’s Organization and Ellevate, two organizations for the advancement of women in politics. As the Alumni Ambassador for Cohort 28 of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, she works with the staff of Delgado Community College along with other alumni to bring more entrepreneurs to the program. Teresa is the Treasurer of Krewe de Lune, a Mardi Gras Krewe, a member of the dance team, Star Steppin’ Cosmonaughties and an avid kayaker.
