Michael Biros

The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana

Michael Biros is a landscape architect who has over 10 years of experience working across coastal Louisiana on projects including adaptation planning, stormwater management and natural resource damage assessments. He holds a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Dickinson College.

As the Restoration Programs Director at the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, he manages a team to execute CRCL's Oyster Shell Recycling Program, Native Plants Program, and Coastal Adventures. These three program areas engage volunteers to restore oyster reefs, facilitate ecological succession, and provide opportunities for environmental education.

He currently manages a portfolio of projects including two successful NOAA BIL grants totaling $2.6M in funding for ecological restoration across coastal Louisiana. He is also a thought leader in the environmental field and is advancing cutting edge topics on meaningful engagement and regenerative design processes.
