Kelly Walker has worked in the Human Resources industry for over 15 years, gaining experience in the many facets of organizational leadership, change management, and employee relations. Recognizing her true passion for the field of Human Resources at an early age, she transitioned her pursuit of higher education from the Healthcare industry to Business Management and Human Resources. Kelly has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management (MBA/HRM) from the University of Phoenix.

As a seasoned Human Resources professional, and currently serving as the Director of Human Resources for The Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO), she is passionate about leading Human Resources and enhancing staff development initiatives to contribute to the organization’s achievement of its mission. Kelly is responsible for the oversight of all Human Resources functions, including, but not limited to, full cycle recruitment, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, training and development, organizational changes, and benefits administration. In addition to her participation as a member in two professional Human Resources organizations, to include the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and NOLASHRM, Kelly also carries out her civic serves duty by serving as a Board Member for the Youth Employment Project (YEP). As a YEP Board member, she contributes to YEP’s long term success and viability as a growing non-profit organization that provides an invaluable service to the underserved youth and adult population in the City of New Orleans.

As a dedicated mother, Kelly enjoys family time with her daughter and supporting her in achieving growth and success in the many sports activities that she participates in.
