Dr. Kelli Jordan

Chief of School Support and Improvement

Dr. Kelli Jordan hails from Atlanta, Georgia and is a graduate of Hampton University (B.A. Psychology) and the University of Tennessee (M.S. Applied Educational Psychology and Ph.D. School Psychology). She currently serves as the Chief of School Support and Improvement for Nola Public Schools and oversees the School Support Team and the Office of Student Support and Attendance. She serves as the liaison for engagement and communication with charter school leaders and leads the district’s school support in a variety of areas such as system-wide programming, school improvement and school partnerships. Dr. Jordan is also an active member of the community and gives back through various organizations in the New Orleans area. She is the current board chair of the Children’s Bureau of New Orleans, the oldest mental health agency for children in New Orleans. Dr. Jordan completed the New Leaders Council (NLC) fellowship in 2018 and previously served on their executive board as a co-chair for both mentorship and selections. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., The Links, Inc., The Orchid Society (mentoring organization) and a National Association of School Psychologists. Dr. Jordan is published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented on a variety of topics related to supporting diverse learners, mental health and trauma-informed practices at national conferences and locaI leadership training programs. In her spare time, Dr. Jordan enjoys mentoring, reading and finding ways to prioritize self-care.
