Justin L. Boone

Outreach Coordinator

U.S. House of Representatives, Congressmen Troy A. Carter, Sr. (LA-02)

Justin L. Boone, is a proud New Orleans native, raised on the Westbank by his mother and grandmother. Growing up, he was taught that hard work was an essential part of daily life and that we had collective responsibility to help and support one another. He focused on his education and graduated from Brother Martin High School with one of the highest class honors - the Golden Crusader Award. He then went onto Louisiana State University and became heavily involved in community service and volunteering, which led him to becoming the Chair of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life at LSU. He graduated early in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and Leadership Development.

After college, he returned to New Orleans and begin his professional career in the hospitality sector as a Human Resources Coordinator. In March of 2017, he began volunteering in the New Orleans Mayor’s race and was hired to be a Field Coordinator across the Eastbank of New Orleans. After a successful campaign, he was hired by Mayor LaToya Cantrell, which afforded him the opportunity to be a constituent liaison and project manager on a wide range of projects, from student programs such as ‘Mayor for a Day’ to the cities response and recovery to COVID-19. He then served as the Executive Office Director, which oversaw the day to day operations of the Mayor and her office. Additionally, he led the City of New Orleans AmeriCorps VISTA program as the Program Director, which focused on anti-poverty measures and organizational capacity building across eight city departments.

After serving in city government, he then began his work as a Sr. Project Manager facilitating the President of France's visit to New Orleans, the 49th Annual Bayou Classic, and more through NOCCI, a local logistics events and marketing company. Now, he continues his service in the United States House of Representatives as Congressman Troy Carter's (LA02) Outreach Coordinator across Louisiana’s Second Congressional district.

He lives in the Broadmoor neighborhood, was elected as a Commissioner to the Broadmoor Improvement Association in 2018, and has served as the Board President since 2021. The Broadmoor Improvement Association has been instrumental in developing his abilities to lead a diverse team of people, respond rationally and thoughtfully to community issues, and advance an organization's impact within the neighborhood. He remains committed and more dedicated than ever to the residents of Broadmoor, the City of New Orleans, and the people of Louisiana - he will continue to work towards a more progressive and inclusive future for all.
