Jason Doyle currently serves as the Director of Operations and Technology for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. In this role he assists with the production and logistical oversight of the Foundations various programs. These programs include the Don “Moose” Jamison Heritage School of Music where Jazz Fest proceeds are reinvested into the community via free Jazz Instruction. He also oversees The George & Joyce Wein Jazz and Heritage Center, a state of the art facility housed on N. Rampart street in the historic Treme Neighborhood. Additionaly, the Foundation produces an array of free concerts and community festivals throughout the year. These include the Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival, the Treme Creole Gumbo Festival, and the Louisiana Cajun Zydeco Festival.
A lifelong resident of Louisiana, Jason is an active musician and artist. Winning a 2017 Big Easy award for “sound design” for his work for Le Petit Theatre’s production of “Once on this Island,” Jason is also active in the field of audio production and design. He is a graduate of Brother Martin High School & the University of New Orleans. Early in his career working with the Gretna Heritage Festival was an entrée into the unique regional music and culture of South Louisiana. There he would work with varied artists ranging from Traditional Brass Bands, Mardi Gras Indian Tribes, Swamp Pop Artists, Zydeco bands, and a mix of national talent and New Orleans legends . This proved to be an invaluable education. Today in his role at the Foundation he continues to support their mission to promote, preserve, and perpetuate Southern Louisiana’s indigenous music, art, and culture.
