Over thirty years experience as a social worker, and school princpal/director. I have run mental health crisis teams, have been a protective service worker and an individual therapist focusing on working with court commited teenagers. I have also run residential programs for children with significant mental health needs. I have been a principal/School Director in , Massachusetts, Arizona, Hawaii, Utah and here in New Orleans. My work in the education field has focused primarily on taking schools through successful school turnaround , meeting federal requirements during the process. I have also created alternative education programs for students that were not successful in their bigger school settings due to social, emotional and/or behavioral issues. I joined Habitat for Humanity this past January, and am enjoying working in the non-profit world again, providing help to those struggling with finding affordable housing.
