Brad Shannon
Project Delivery Leader
Impetus Builders, LLC
I grew up in Metairie, LA and attended Archbishop Rummel, graduating top 5 in my class. While at Rummel, I lettered in golf and was part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, participating in events with Angel's Place and similar organizations. I then went on to LSU, graduating December 2006, 2nd in my class, with a degree in Construction Management from the College of Engineering. Upon graduating, I began working at Woodward Design Build as an Assistant Project Manager. After my first year, I was provided an opportunity to manage my first project. That project was successful and afforded me an opportunity to advance my career at an accelerated pace.
In January of 2014, I was approached by Palmisano Contractors (now Impetus Builders). Being familiar with the leadership of the company, I decided to make the move and join a new company with great aspirations. Upon my hiring, I believe I was employee #9.
I have been fortunate to be a part of a growing organization, elevating my career along the way from Project Manager to Senior PM to Project Executive, etc. We have a young organization, which has provided me the privilege to work with some great young talent over the years, sharing and guiding them in their careers similar to what was done for me early on in my career. For myself, the most rewarding part of the job is the people. We will build many projects along the way, but the relationships that are created are what drives me on a daily basis.
Early on at Palmisano, I was fortunate to be the lead Project Manager for the Joan Mitchell Artist Studio. This project was influential for myself knowing the impact it was having on the local artist community. The heart felt gratitude from the Joan Mitchell Foundation made that project one of the most rewarding of my career.
I was also a part of the project team that constructed the New Orleans Museum of Art Sculpture Garden which was a signifant project for our company as well as a unique project to be a part of.
I now serve as Project Delivery Leader for Impetus Builders, focusing on means and methods of planning and executing work and training others.
I was recognized in 2019 by City Business for Excellence in Construction and Real Estate.
Prior to my role as Project Delivery Leader, I served Impetus as Market Leader for New Orleans in 2022.
