Ashley Stewart was born and raised in Chalmette and has roots in the parish as old as the area itself that have continuously pulled her back to Southeast Louisiana. Stewart has been active in the continued promotion of St. Bernard Parish and the causes important to it for the vast majority of her life and has been recognized by the St. Bernard Parish Council on multiple occasions, most recently for volunteering to assist Councilman Gillis McCloskey’s office following the March 2022 Arabi Tornado where she was instrumental in coordinating the more than 50 NGOs working in the community.
